Full-Time, Grant-Funded Position

Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Education or higher in related field
· Minimum three years’ experience in higher education
· Personnel management experience
· Knowledge of Starfish or similar tools, experience with Starfish Degree Planner preferred
· Expertise in effective strategies for online services and instruction in support of remote learning
· Experience working with minority, low-income students
· Experience conducting professional development training
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Low-income, first-generation in college, and/or minority background preferred
Responsibilities: The Student Success Specialist will oversee and evaluate Academic Support Leaders, Success Coaches, & Lead Faculty’s grant related work. The Student Success Specialist will collaborate with Success Coaches to develop the “New Strategies for Success Course.” Collaboration with Success Coaches will lead to the development of new coaching videos for faculty, staff, and students to support remote learning. The Student Success Specialist will lead the development of a support webpage for students & faculty/staff in a remote learning resources repository, develop implement and/or facilitate professional development related to Starfish Degree Planner module and redesigned success coaching services. The Student Success Specialist will oversee redesign and pilots of success coaching in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and Learning Success Center Director. In collaboration with the Vice-Chancellor of Instruction and Teaching, the Student Success Specialist will redesign pilots of academic support facilitated by Lead Faculty and Academic Support Leaders. Lastly, the Student Success Specialist will assist the Project Director in strengthening the Men of Color Conference.
Salary: $48,450 depending upon credentials and experience, with full college benefits.
