This is a full-time, 12-month, grant-funded position with full college benefits. The Home Visiting Services Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, and vision for the Home Visiting Services programs (Parents as Teachers and Healthy Families America) housed at Arkansas State University Mid-South. The Coordinator will report to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. NOTE: Travel is required for this position.
Job Responsibilities
- Direct, coordinate, support and evaluate the on-the-job performance of parent educators in accordance with both the affiliate’s and ASU Mid-South’s policies and procedures
- Ensure that Essential Requirements/Accreditation Standards of each model (PAT and HFA) is met
- Ensure implementation of curriculum to model fidelity
- Coordinate services with other community programs that serve as resources for the affiliate and ASU Mid-South
- Complete and submit all required program evaluation and financial reports as required by the funder and model
- Ensure that the Home Visiting Services programs meet benchmark standards as required by the funder
- Conduct staff meetings and individual supervision with parent educators to meet model fidelity
- Act as a liaison between the parent educators and families as well as between both the affiliate and ASU Mid-South and outside service providers
- Seek professional development training to meet Arkansas Children’s Hospital requirements and maintain integrity to model standards
- Organize, plan and lead the affiliate’s advisory committee meetings
- Recruit and ensure appropriate training for parent educators
- Recruit families as needed
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in early childhood education, social work, health, psychology or a related field. Bachelor’s degree with strong, relevant experience considered.
- Five years’ experience working with families and young children
- Program management experience – Including budget development and oversight.
- Experience in developing and maintaining community relationships and partnerships.
- Experience/knowledge of developmental screening tools
- Previous supervisory experience, preferably using reflective supervision process; experience in hiring, training and managing staff
- Previous experience with data collection using a web-based data management system
- Knowledge and experience using continuous quality improvement
- Experience managing an advisory committee or other non-profit board
- Experience coordinating events and planning group meetings
Proposed Salary
Beginning annual salary of $40,500 with full college benefits.
