HANDLE YOUR BUSINESS
Our Mission:
We the men of The Brother 2 Brother Mentoring Initiative resolve to Handle Our Business academically, professionally, and socially.
Academically
We will arrive to class on time, and prepared with all materials needed for class.
We will pay attention and not be a distraction to our classmates.
We will ask for assistance and clarification when we do not understand a concept.
Professionally
We will commit to professional dress one day weekly as prescribed by the Brother 2 Brother organization.
We will adhere to a minimum of Business Casual attire when traveling representing Brother 2 Brother.
Socially
We understand that as members of Brother 2 Brother we not only represent Brother 2 Brother, but ASU Mid-South, and ourselves.
We will commit to being socially responsible and positive role models for our peers.
Although we are young men and not perfect, we do above all else resolve to Handle our Business and become a model of success for our peers, families, and community. Our reminder to each other to continue to strive for success in all areas of our lives will be the simple phrase “Handle Your Business”
Leadership and Mentoring
Brother 2 Brother is a mentoring initiative that seeks to help its members grow in their leadership abilities through bi-weekly activities on and off campus. Brother 2 Brother pairs members up with mentors who provide encouragement and support throughout the academic year. Brother 2 Brother also seeks to provide members with opportunities to be mentors to others through community service activities and other initiatives on campus.
Members who “Handle Their Business” can also earn opportunities to travel to national Men of Color conferences which provide further opportunities to grow in leadership and network with others across the country. Past conferences have been in Tampa, Florida, San Deigo, California, and Dearborn, Michigan.
