WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Arkansas State University Mid-South has surpassed the 1,200-student threshold, reporting 1,243 students currently enrolled for fall 2025. The last time Arkansas State University Mid-South reached this milestone was fall 2020, when end of term enrollment was recorded at 1,254 students. The current year’s enrollment total represents a 14% increase compared to end-of-term enrollment last fall, when 1,094 students were enrolled.
Full-time equivalent enrollment also grew substantially, rising 14% to 724 compared to 636 last fall. According to the Arkansas Division of Higher Education’s official enrollment headcount for fall 2025, ASU Mid-South enrolled 1,180 students — a 15.5% increase when compared to ADHE’s fall 2024 official enrollment count.
“Our dramatic enrollment increase this fall reflects the hard work we’ve done to expand both access and student success, while also better aligning our programs with the needs of our local and regional employers,” said Dr. Debra West, chancellor. “Whether they are high school students seeking a jump-start on college or career or adult learners taking courses for transfer or to obtain the high-demand skills needed to gain or advance in employment, students are choosing ASU Mid-South because they know we provide high-quality programs, outstanding instruction, flexible enrollment options and the wrap-around support services they need to be successful. These numbers represent more than enrollment growth; they represent lives being changed and futures being built right here in Crittenden County.”
ASU Mid-South continues to serve as a leader in accessible, affordable education, offering programs that prepare students for high-demand careers and seamless transfer to four-year universities. Growth in high school concurrent enrollment highlights the college’s partnerships with local school districts and its commitment to helping students earn college credit earlier, saving both time and money on the path to a degree.
