Immediate Supervisor: Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications

General Description: You see the world through a viewfinder and think in clips, captions and clicks. The Digital Media Manager is a creative storyteller who captures, edits and shares the moments that define ASU Mid-South. From behind the camera to the college website, this role helps shape how the institution looks, sounds and feels online. If you can turn everyday moments into visual stories that connect with people, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Capture and edit high-quality photography and video for marketing, social media and campus storytelling.
  • Publish and maintain web content that’s accurate, timely and visually engaging.
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Design Specialists to create meaningful, on-brand social media content.
  • Coordinate and guide a team of student or staff content creators, including work study students, who contribute to digital and social media projects.
  • Provide direction, feedback and project support to student workers assisting with digital media production.
  • Organize and manage digital media assets for easy access and consistent use.
  • Stay current on trends in video, photography and digital content creation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, digital production or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience in photography and videography, including editing and post-production.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or comparable tools for video and photo editing.
  • Experience managing or publishing content in a CMS (WordPress or similar).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to visual and editorial detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education or mission-driven marketing.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and content workflows.
  • Drone operation or motion graphics experience.

You’ll Thrive Here If You…

  • Love capturing the energy of people and places through your camera.
  • Enjoy collaborating with creative teammates to tell meaningful stories.
  • Take pride in mentoring and managing student creators.
  • Balance technical skill with creative instinct.
  • Can juggle multiple projects without losing focus—or your sense of humor.

Required Application Materials:

  • a letter of interest specifying the position sought,
  • a completed ASU Mid-South application for employment including contact information for three professional references who can attest to the candidate’s qualifications for this position,
  • a resume or curriculum vitae,
  • copies of college transcripts relevant to the position of interest,
  • a digital portfolio with application.

Candidates should be prepared to complete a short creative assignment as part of the interview process.
Please note that ASU Mid-South requires a background check as well as a driver’s license verification as part of the employment process.

For an application to be considered, all requested materials must be submitted either by mail, email, fax, or personal delivery to:
