College Project
The College Project is devised to create a positive relationship between PTK and the administration of ASU Mid-South. The project is designed to specifically assist the administration in any project that supports our college.

Honors In Action
The Honors in Action is an Honors Program which allows members the chance to learn and practice problem-solving skills. The project requires academic research on various themes related to the Honors Study Topic, collaborative meetings, and an action project based on a need that arises during the research and meetings.

Phi Theta Kappa – Beta Epsilon Psi Chapter

Phi Theta Kappa is the oldest, largest and most prestigious honor society serving two-year colleges worldwide, made up of more than 3.5 million members and nearly 1,300 chapters in nine nations. The Privileges of Membership are Unmatched.

The American Association of Community Colleges has named Phi Theta Kappa the official honor society for two-year colleges. We are the only such honor society with this distinction.

Membership requires a 3.5 GPA after completing 12 credit hours of coursework toward an associate or bachelor’s degree or at least 6 hours of coursework toward a certificate of 1 year. A provisional membership is available for students who have shown an active interest in the affairs of the society but do not meet the full requirements for active membership.

We have no recurring fees or annual dues; simply pay the one-time membership fee, and you can access your PTK benefits for life.

Mission

The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.

The mission of our chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Epsilon Psi, a five-star chapter at Arkansas State University Mid-South, is to practice leadership by way of service, academic excellence (scholarship), professional development, and fellowship.
