Immediate Supervisor: This position reports directly to the Director of Information Systems
General Description: This is a full-time position approved to work for up to 40 hours/week on the ASU Mid-South Campus. The Information Technology Assistant will assist in day-to-day information systems operations with a particular focus on user support, hardware and software deployment, and device maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Provides helpdesk support and direct assistance to users to troubleshoot account and software issues
- Supports users in the operation and maintenance of classroom and online technical resources
- Helps to set up and maintain IT equipment such as desktop PCs, laptops, printers, and projectors
- Under the supervision of IT staff, assists with projects related to device deployment, network maintenance, and inventory management
- Assists other full-time IT staff in coordinating the work of interns and federal work-study students
- Performs other duties as assigned
Skills: Working knowledge of common hardware and software issues on devices running recent versions of Windows.
Qualifications: High school diploma plus previous experience in customer service or IT support, preferably in an educational setting. Associate degree or professionally recognized IT certifications preferred.
