Deeneaus “D” Polk, a 2020 Harvard Kennedy School graduate with a Master’s in Public Policy, previously led the Mississippi Apprenticeship Program (MAP), expanding apprenticeship opportunities in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Labor and Mississippi Community College Board. MAP has created over 1,000 apprenticeships and partnered with 100+ companies since 2017. His work was influenced by research as a German Chancellor Fellow on vocational education. D also served as a Policy Analyst at the Mississippi Economic Policy Center, focusing on education and workforce development.
