Board of Visitors

Members of the ASU Mid-South Board of Visitors are selected by the ASU System President in cooperation and coordination with the ASU Mid-South Chancellor and the continuing Board of Visitors members. As terms expire or as vacancies occur, the remaining members of the ASU Mid-South Board of Visitors will recommend to the Chancellor of ASU Mid-South the names of three residents representative of the college’s service area for the purpose of filling each vacancy. After reviewing the recommendations, the Chancellor will select one candidate for submission to the ASU System President for approval.

Appointments of new Board of Visitors will be for seven years or for the remaining portion of the unexpired term. The Board of Visitors serves in an advisory role to aid in securing financial support, to make recommendations about the educational and service needs of the service area, and to furnish counsel and guidance. It will elect from its members a chairperson, a vice chairperson, and a secretary and will meet quarterly just prior to the meeting of the ASU Board of Trustees.
