Director of Career Pathways
ASU Mid-South is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Director of Career Pathways. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in empowering Arkansas’ parenting students to overcome barriers, achieve industry-recognized credentials, and transition into stable, family-sustaining careers through the Arkansas Career Pathways Initiative (CPI). This position reports to Dean of Enrollment Services.
The Director provides leadership for program planning, case management operations, employer engagement, budgeting, and student success strategies aligned with statewide CPI goals. This role works closely with college departments, workforce partners, and state agencies to ensure strong outcomes in enrollment, credential completion, and employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Career Pathways Initiative in alignment with state policies and annual goals.
- Oversee case management services that support student success, including assessments, career plans, advising, and wrap-around support.
- Strengthen partnerships with employers, workforce agencies, and Adult Education to connect students with training and employment opportunities.
- Manage the annual CPI budget, ensuring appropriate use of state funds and timely reporting.
- Monitor program performance, use data to guide improvements, and help the college meet credential and employment targets.
- Supervise and develop CPI staff while fostering a collaborative, student-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree with at least five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in higher education, workforce development, human services, case management, or grant-funded programs preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
